How To Tackle Candida

Fungi are the world’s recyclers of organic material. They use hydrolytic enzymes to digest biopolymers like starches. Yeast is a fungus but differs by fermenting sugars and starches under anaerobic conditions into alcohols and carbon dioxide. Yeast are normal residents of our complex microbiome. Candida is a type of yeast that can overgrow in susceptible weakened body terrain creating a syndrome called “systemic candidiasis”.

By products of fermentation give rise to a myriad of symptoms. As above alcohols ,carbon dioxide, glycerols, and aldehydes all can interfere with our biochemistry and physiology.

Generalized symptoms may include fatigue, weight gain, sugar crave, and brain fog. Skin symptoms, itch, rash, athlete's feet, body fold rash, musty smelling sweat, and nail fungus.

Airway symptoms, runny nose, sinus congestion, cough, wheeze asthma, and frequent infections.

Gut symptoms, indigestion, reflux, gas/bloat, bad breath, constipation/diarrhea, and abdominal pain.

Musculoskeletal symptoms, weakness, cramps, pain, swell, and easy injuries.

Neurologic symptoms, fog, confusion, anxiety, depression, numbness, tingle, dizziness, ringing ears, and vision disturbances.

Precipitating factors are mostly man made, antibiotics, birth control pills, pain relievers, stomach acid reducers, among just about everything via prescription.

Our food industry is awash with processing for addiction, shelf life, and cost reduction, flour (gluten free is very high glycemic), high fructose corn syrup, seed oils, preservatives, flavor enhancers, coloring, mold and contamination.

Treatment is a holistic lifestyle. Food is information. Eat an unprocessed diet with an abundance of vegetables (not too much fruit due to sugar), dark rices or quinoa cooked with bone broth, raw nuts/seeds, small amounts of organic meats. Cook only with a saturated fat of coconut or organic animal fat. Balanced with extraordinary fats like butter, eggs, coconut oil, and our beloved “Nutiva” hemp oil.

Eat wild caught fish, caviar and roe, rather than suffocating fish oil supplements. Basic vitamins as stated before vitamin C,D, Celtic salt, iodine, & B complex.

Specific aids may be a wide array of herbs like garlic, ginger, rosemary, and curry. From the holistic pharmacy you may use, oil of oregano, citrus seed extract, olive leaf extract, golden seal, neem, monolauric acid, and essential oils. Do not forget to hydrate and move! Stagnation kills.
